Teaching

Marta Kržič began teaching piano while still a student at the Academy of Music, at the Vrhnika Music School, where she became employed in 1995 and later headed the piano department for several years. Her students received awards at various competitions, and many of them successfully continued their studies at the Ljubljana Secondary School of Music and Ballet. She has also served as a jury member at regional competitions and at the national TEMSIG competitions.

Since 2003, she has been employed at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. As a Specialist Consultant, she teaches at the Department of Complementary Piano, which she also chaired from its establishment until the end of her term in the 2016/2017 academic year and again from 2025/26 academic year onward. In April 2023, as part of the Erasmus+ program, she conducted a masterclass for complementary piano students at the Faculty of Arts in Niš (Serbia). Link

In the 2023/24 academic year, she participated as a pedagogical mentor in the student project for sustainable development “Simple Proximity: Maintaining Connection with People with Dementia through Movement, Music, and Social Interaction.” The project involved members of the University of Ljubljana: the Faculty of Sport, the Faculty of Social Work, and the Academy of Music.
